Prodikt is a unique, open digital platform that makes it easy to compare different building products and secure the lowest possible climate impact for a construction project. This becomes a door-opener to a more sustainable future. From the smallest screw to complete structures – everything is covered. Fast and accurate. The platform has been under development for over a year and will have its world premiere in week 20, 2021.

Carbonzero AB is a company based in Ängelholm that is fully committed to digitalising information about building products for the sake of the environment and sustainability. The newly developed digital platform Prodikt (www.prodikt.com) makes it easy to find and compare different building products, and in this way helps the customer choose the most sustainable options. The information often already exists today, but is scattered across different places and formats.
“We don’t take a position or rank anything – we simply show products from different suppliers with full transparency and openness. Then it’s up to the architect, the developer or the purchaser to make the decision,” says Rasmus Ekberg, one of the founders of Prodikt.
“We come from the industry ourselves and over the years we’ve seen how difficult it is to access relevant facts about building products and actually use that knowledge in projects,” Rasmus Ekberg continues. “We managed to crack the code, and by making the information easy to access and compare for everyone, we can drive innovation and potentially reduce the construction sector’s climate impact very quickly,” says Rasmus Ekberg.
This is a unique service for suppliers who want to visualise their products for customers on our platform and show that they work in a climate-smart and sustainable way. Products are compared across a wide range of criteria, such as circularity, CO₂ and technical performance, and users can choose which parameters they find most important in each comparison.
Once all the parts for a project have been selected, the entire building project is summarised and documented, with full control over both environmental impact and technical details.
“This is more or less revolutionary for the entire industry and will make a big difference. Imagine being able to design a 100% complete building based on active choices and have all the facts you need,” concludes Rasmus Ekberg.
“For me as an architect, sustainability is a real driving force in my daily work,” says Maria Block at BlockArk Arkitekter. “Prodikt finally allows me to design even more sustainable buildings with reduced climate impact, higher levels of circularity and human health at the centre. All of this in one tool that takes me smoothly from transparent product choices to a complete final summary,” Maria Block concludes.
Carbonzero AB provides the digital platform Prodikt – www.prodikt.com – where you can easily compare the sustainability of building products. In collaboration with manufacturers, product data is made accessible and comparable across many different parameters. Prodikt does not judge or rate the products – that responsibility sits with the architect, the purchaser or the developer.
