The construction and real estate sector accounts for around one-fifth of Sweden’s climate impact. At the same time, both national and European regulations are pushing the market toward more climate-smart construction. Against this backdrop, building materials retailer Bygma is entering into a partnership with Prodikt, sharing a vision to make product-specific data digitally available to the entire construction industry.

Through this collaboration, Bygma, together with its manufacturers and suppliers, can now make product-specific data about its products available via Prodikt. With this product-level data, projects gain significantly higher precision and relevance, and Bygma’s customers can secure both higher quality and a more potent competitive edge in their tenders and projects.
“This partnership is a great example of how two organizations can become stronger together and help accelerate the transition while making the building process more efficient. By connecting supplier information directly with Bygma’s customers, we’re creating fantastic opportunities for smoother, more sustainable construction and, not least, a successful collaboration,” says Rasmus Ekberg, Co-founder of Prodikt.
“At Bygma, we want to be the best partner for sustainable construction in the industry. Through our collaboration with Prodikt, we can now offer our customers fast access to reliable climate data and other sustainability information for our products. This makes it easier for our customers to meet new climate requirements and make informed material choices in their projects,” says Isabel Cadenius, Head of Sustainability at Bygma AB.

Prodikt is a global platform for verified product data and sustainability information, used by leading players in the building industry. The platform enables better decision-making, more efficient sustainability work, and increased transparency across projects.
Bygma is a Swedish building materials chain offering construction materials, timber, tools, and related services to both professional customers and private consumers through a nationwide network of branches. The company operates in both wholesale and retail and serves as a full-service supplier for construction projects of all sizes.
